Poland on the Prairies
1944, director: Laura Boulton

Excerpt (2:55)

Taking the example of some members of the Manitoba Polish community, this excerpt seeks to show that immigrants can, while remaining loyal Canadian citizens, preserve their customs and traditions. A Winnipeg music festival drawing children of diverse origins is an opportunity for the narrator to remind us that Canada is a pluralist country, where everyone can appreciate everyone else’s culture.
