Industrial Pollution
Photographer unknown, photograph

Combustion systems in industrial facilities in Canada use about one-third of all energy consumed. These systems produce emissions of air contaminants associated with smog and acid rain as well as greenhouse gases. Industrial ecology, a regional planning concept, aims to reduce pollutants in a cost effective manner.
