Landfill Garbage, Vancouver
Stock shot from NFB Archives

The massive quantities of garbage at landfills result in disagreeable smells, smog and the potential contamination of land and water. Birds that scavenge the garbage for food are at risk of dying from swallowing foreign objects such as plastic bags.
