The film
In the 1960s when air pollution was becoming an issue, solutions were focused locally where, for example, fossil fuel smoke stacks were built taller to move pollutants away. Over time, however, it was learned that this local pollution had effects far from the source, such as the decline of deciduous forests in southern Quebec shown in this excerpt.
