The day after Victory in Europe, May 8, 1945, infantrymen of The West Nova Scotia Regiment, perched on a Universal Carrier on their way to Rotterdam, are surrounded by Dutch civilians celebrating the liberation of the Netherlands after five hellish years under Nazi occupation.
