Canadian Soldiers Display a German Flag
Lieut. Ken Bell, photographie, Xanten (Allemagne), 9 mars 1945

Five Canadian soldiers display a German flag bearing the Nazi swastika, taken from a ruined fortified house in Xanten, Germany. Almost totally destroyed by bombing, the town was taken by Canadian troops on March 8, 1945.
