Tomorrow's World
Excerpt  (3:20) 1943, director:
Description The film
Evoking a bright new tomorrow was key in mobilizing support for the war effort. Wartime industry and solidarity, the narrator tells us, are sowing the seeds for unprecedented future prosperity. With the hardship of the 30s still fresh in collective memory, the message is that wartime sacrifices will be rewarded with economic abundance and a more egalitarian social order.
