Description The film
The Norwegian resistance to Nazi occupation is commemorated in an animated film. The Nazis invaded Norway in April 1940, staying until 1945, with support from a manipulated puppet regime. A resistance movement took shape, working closely with the London-based government-in-exile. Pjotr Sapegin uses animation to tell a serious story in a light-hearted way.

An old man tells his granddaughter his personal story of the Second World War. Brimming with strange characters, his tale conjures up a world beyond the little girl's comprehension. Director Pjotr Sapegin has taken a true story and transformed it into a tongue-in-cheek epic peopled with clay puppets. The animated short is dedicated to Sapegin's mother.
