Nazi atrocities in concentration camps and prisons. Behind the huge swastika flags and the cheering crowds that greeted Hitler lay a nightmare world peopled with the starving thousands who displeased the Führer. Unburied, staring-eyed corpses were piled like cordwood; cremation ovens destroyed masses of bodies at a time. The well-fed commandant and guards of Belsen contrast brutally with the living skeletons we see being deloused by the Allied liberators.
